NFL
Commissioner Goodell is no longer taking phone calls directly. I say, if he wants to be man enough to make that call, he should be man enough to listen to the criticism, instead of hiding behind some receptionist. I would like to see us all call the NFL during the day, really keep the phones ringing, then the next day, the Eagles, and then the Mayor's office. Just keep bombarding them until they know we are serious. In order to do that, WE NEED TO GET ORGANIZED....

Has anyone done anything more to "organize" our efforts to voice our disapproval of the NFL's decision to reinstate Vick? I am on board to protest the reinstatement and everything Philly Eagles.

Hey man I'm sure you a super upset about Vick. He served his time for the crime and he is going to play in the NFL even if you got a billion people to whine to the NFL. He made a mistake and paid for it. Why can't you just leave it at that? Don't you have anything else to do with your time then bitch and moan about a man trying to get a job? Have you no sin and things you wouldn't take back in your life. Here is an idea for you buddy, Get a life/girlfriend and worry about the things you can control like how much of loser you are for even posting this.
Vick should not be in the spotlight, acting as a hero to children. THAT is why we cannot "leave it at that." He has not shown remorse for his actions. His "talks" at grade schools have drawn all kinds of positive press for him but he has spent all of 5 minutes talking to the kids. His message is simple: "Look at me. I'm getting paid millions of dollars after having spent a few months in prison for animal cruelty. You could be me someday. You could be wearing a designer suit that cost more than your momma makes in one year. You could be driven around in a limo with lemmings waiting for you to snap your fingers for a cold drink." This is not the kind of message our youth need to hear. THAT is why we cannot "leave it at that!"
Nikki, this is the same Pat F that you see on facebook. I don't think that boycotting HSUS.org is the answer. HSUS does some good things. While I have stopped supporting them financially (until they let Vick go), I cannot totally boycott the organization. I have of course stopped spending money on the other sponsors of the Philly Eagles too. I don't think that's enough though. I think the campaign should be focussed on turning off the TV when the Eagles air. Walk out of the bar when the owner refuses to turn the channel when the Eagles are playing. Keep making phone calls to Dick's Sporting Goods to thank them for not carrying Vick merchandise, including his Eagles jersey or his former team's jersey. Putting words like "euthanize him" on the boycott website is going to turn people off, same as PETA turns people off for some of their questionable antics. I love and appreciate what you are doing, but because it is so radical I don't think your campaign is going to work. I've tried my best to post anti-Vick and animal cruelty awareness on my facebook page and even though none of what I have posted has been as radical as some of the things on your boycott website, I've had facebook friends block me. The picture of Vick's badly mauled dog for instance. It is the truth, and it is a truth that needs to be shared. But using that picture as my profile pic turned some friends away. I'm just sayin'...
